NEET MDS 2024: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will soon declare revised results for the NEET -MDS exam 2024, as the health ministry has slashed the cut-off percentile on September 17. The cut-off has been reduced by 21,692 percentile across all categories.
The letter signed by Under Secretary Amit Kumar read, “I am directed to say that this Ministry has decided to lower the qualifying cut-off percentile for NEET -MDS, 2024 by 21.692 percentile for each category (General, SC/ST/OBC and UR-PWD) in pursuance of DCI's MDS Regulations, 2017 and 2nd proviso in clause 7(1) of DCI's Master of Dental Surgery course (1st Amendment) Regulations, 2018.”
The revised cut-off for unreserved categories and economically weaker sections (EWS) is 28.308. For SC, ST, OBC and PwBD categories, it is 18.308.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the NEET MDS 2024 exam on March 18.
NEET MDS Counselling: Another Round Expected!
With the release of revised results, more candidates will qualify for the MDS course admission. Although, the counselling process concluded on September 14, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to reopen the NEET MDS 2024 counselling registration window for the newly qualified candidates. An official notification regarding this is awaited.
MCC began NEET -MDS counselling on June 29, 2024. A total of four rounds of counselling including one online stray vacancy round was conducted this year.
