Republicworld.com brings to you the fastest results from the Bihar Assembly Election 2025. Munger is one of the 38 districts in Bihar. It consists of 3 assembly seats - Tarapur, Munger and Jamalpur. The district went to the polls on November 6 in the first phase. This year, the candidates are as follows: Kumar Pranay of the BJP, Ranvir Sahani of the BSP, Sanjay Kumar Singh of the JSP, Monazir Hassan of the AIMIM, and Avinash Kumar Vidyarthi of the RJD. It recorded a voter turnout of 61.94 per cent, and overall turnout in Bihar reached a record 66.91 per cent.
In 2020, in the Bihar Assembly elections, BJP's Kumar Pranay won in Munger by a margin of 1244 votes. The RJD's Avinash Kumar Vidyarthi was the runner-up, securing 74329 votes.
JDU's Nechiketa Mandal is inching towards victory in the Jamalpur Assembly seat. He is leading by 12,563 votes and has received 33,390 votes so far. Meanwhile, IIP's Narendra Kumar, who has received 20,827 votes so far, appears to be on the losing side.
In Amarpur, JDU's Jayant Raj is leading by 3,736 votes, whereas Congress's Jitendra Singh trails. In terms of vote share, JDU's Jayant Raj has received around 14,147 votes so far, while Congress's Jitendra Singh has received 10,411 votes.
Counting is still on in Munger, but things look in favour of the BJP candidate Kumar Pranay right now. He has a comfortable lead of 24028 votes over RJD candidate Avinash Kumar Vidyarthi.
Former IPS Shivdeep Lande is facing a tough contest in the Jamalpur assembly seat. He has received only 1,128 votes so far. Meanwhile, JDU's Nechiketa Mandal is leading with 5,281 votes.
The Tarapur Assembly seat is experiencing a tight race between BJP candidate Samrat Chaudhary and RJD candidate Arun Kumar. The margin between the two is around 1,339 votes. Samrat has received 11,648 votes, while Arun Kumar has garnered 10,309 votes. Meanwhile, Santosh Kumar Singh from the Jansuraj party has only 284 votes.

According to early trends, the NDA is leading in all of Munger's assembly seats.
