Maharashtra Civic Body Election Result LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the people of Maharashtra after the NDA registered a huge win in the Maharashtra civic body elections.

In a post on X, the PM said, “Thank you Maharashtra! The dynamic people of the state bless the NDA’s agenda of pro-people good governance!” He added, "The results of various municipal corporation elections indicate that NDA’s bond with the people of Maharashtra has further deepened. Our track record and vision for development have struck a chord. My gratitude to the people across Maharashtra. This is a vote to add momentum to progress and celebrate the glorious culture the state is associated with."

PM Modi also acknowledged BJP workers' efforts, saying, “I am very proud of every NDA Karyakarta who worked tirelessly among people across Maharashtra. They talked about our alliance’s track record, highlighted our vision for the coming times and also effectively countered the lies of the Opposition. My best wishes to them.”

Maharashtra Civic Body Election Result LIVE: As the Mahayuti alliance ended the 25-year-old long stronghold of the Thackeray family on BMC, Maharashtra minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha said, "The rule of the Thackeray family is now history. A new chapter has begun and in this new era, under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis."

"People of Mumbai will get whatever they wanted...Development work was the biggest factor. The manner in which Uddhav Thackeray compromised during Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections for appeasement politics, made people understand who can protect India and Mumbai," the state minister added.

While addressing party workers at BJP Mumbai headquarters, Fadnavis said, "We faced these elections with a vision of development under the leadership of PM Modi…That is why we got a record-breaking mandate in these elections…These results have clarified that Maharashtra relies a lot on PM Modi."

Maharashtra Local Body Elections Live: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis arrived at BJP headquarters in Mumbai on Friday to celebrate BJP's sweeping victory in Maharashtra local body elections. “First of all, I want to thank the citizens of Maharashtra for giving a grand victory to the BJP in the municipal elections. BJP and Mahayuti are going to form their 25 mayors after these elections,” the CM said.

Earlier, Fadnavis also hailed the “momentous victory” of BJP on X, tweeting, "This victory reflects people’s trust in BJP’s vision ensuring progress and development."

Maharashtra Local Body Elections Live: Former Lok Sabha MP Kirit Somaiya's son Neil Somaiya has secured a landslide victory in Ward 107 of Mulund West. Neil Somaiya won by a margin of 4,005 votes. 
Notably, BJP has won all six seats of Mulund.

BMC Election Result Live: Hailing Mahayuti's historic victory in Mumbai, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said, "This is a triple engine government." "We will  make sure Mumbai will be the fintech centre," he added.
 

Maharashtra Civic Body Poll Results Live Updates: Congress has won the Latur Municipal Corporation polls, registering victory in 43 out of total 70 seats. BJP is the runner-up in Latur, with victory on 22 seats.

Maharashtra Local Body Elections: Devendra Fadnavis congratulated BJP Mumbai President Ameet Satam after trends showed BJP's sweeping victory in the BMC elections. In a phone call with Satam, Fadnavis said, "Ameet, heartiest congratulations. Excellent performance. No reason to worry at all. You have done fantastically well. Many congratulations to you. Excellent."

Maharashtra Local Body Elections Live: Hitendra Thakur's Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) has outperformed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Vasa-Virar Municipal Corporation. Out of 115 seats, BVA has won 71 seats, while the BJP has won 44 seats.

Maharashtra Elections: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has clinched victory from BMC Ward number 23 and 24. While Shivkumar Jha won Ward number 23, Swati Sanjay Jaiswal emerged victorious from Ward no 24.

On Congress' 'Vote Chori' allegations, BJP's Rahul Narwekar says, “They cannot accept their loss or face it. That is why they are acting this way.”

“EC has given an explanation. We should take it at face value. I tried to erase the ink off my finger. It is not possible,” he added.

Amid 'vote chori' allegations, BJP's Sudhanshu Trivedi questions Congress on alliances, asks 'who stole them'?

Maharashtra minister Chandrakant Patil says, "Mid trends have started coming in now. Mid trends show that these will go ahead speedily. There is no chance of going backwards. For the first time, a BJP mayor will be elected in Mumbai. After 25 years, the Thackeray's hold over the BMC ends.

The BJP-Shinde Sena alliance is leading in 129 seats in the BMC elections. If this trend continues, it will be BJP's biggest win till date.

"Whether the Thackeray brothers come together or Congress and NCP join hands, it is not in the interest of the people. People have understood that this is for their own selfish motives. In Mumbai, BJP will get 90 seats and Shiv Sena 40; this number may increase but will not decrease. In Pune, we will not get less than 115 seats," he added.

The BJP and Shiv Sena have a pre-counting edge as both the parties are leading in four corporations on unopposed seats.

Counting begins. The first counting center where the EVMs have been opened is Malad in Mumbai.

In the Nagpur Municipal Corporation the administration is fully prepared for the counting of votes. The process will begin at 10:00 AM. Since the counting for all 38 wards of the city will begin simultaneously, the administration expects the trends to become clear between 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM. However, due to the simultaneous counting in all wards, there is also a possibility of some delay in the declaration of the final results.
