At the IPL 2024 auction, which was held in Dubai on December 19, RCB signed up to six players. After making every effort to get Australia's Test and ODI skipper Pat Cummins, the three-time losing IPL finalists were unable to do so, and Cummins was secured by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20.50 crore.
Six players were signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore during the IPL 2024 auction, which was held on Tuesday, December 19, at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. Australian captain Pat Cummins was one of the players that RCB tried their hardest to get before the next season of the lucrative league arrived, but in the end, he signed for a Rs 20.50 crore contract to join Sunrisers Hyderabad.
As a backup plan, RCB spent Rs 11.50 crore to acquire West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph, who had previously won two IPL championships with the Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians.
