Bayern Munich moved into the Euroleague play-off places on Friday with a 62-56 win over Alba Berln at the Audi Dome.

In a game that swung wildly back and forth, Alba got off to a strong start and led by four points before Bayern pulled it back to 16-16 at the end of the opening quarter.

Bayern then opened up a five point lead in the second, but from 26-21, the visitors put together a 20-3 run and they held a 12-point advantage midway through the third at 41-29.

Back came the home side again though and they had wiped out the deficit by the start of the fourth.

A Zan Mark Sisko two-pointer with 4:23 on the clock put Andrea Trinchieri's men back in front for good and Bayern pulled away to record their sixth straight victory in the 'German derby'.

Vladimir Lucic had a game high 19 points for the winners - Berlin got 13 points from both Maodo Lo and Jaleen Smith, but they couldn't prevent their team sliding to a fourth straight defeat.

Bayern improved to 11-11 and moved up two places to eighth in the table.

Alba remain 16th with a 6-15 record.
