Russia-Ukraine War: Putin Warns Europe For Derailing Peace Talks

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently accused Ukraine's European allies of undermining U.S.-led efforts to end the war, which have accelerated in recent weeks, in an interview with the media. As per Putin, Europe is trying to change peace plans with “demands that are absolutely unacceptable to Russia,” thus “blocking the entire peace process,” only to blame Russia for it. His words were in line with the narrative that Russia put forward after Trump returned to the White House this year and initiated discussions with Moscow, casting Europe’s steadfast backing of Ukraine as one of the key impediments on the route to peace.
