In Tel Aviv, India’s Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal commended Israel for its resilience over the past two challenging years. He expressed deep admiration for the Israeli people, calling them “brothers and sisters,” and affirmed that India firmly stands with them.
Goyal also highlighted India’s long-standing battle against terrorism. He pointed to recent incidents, including the Pahalgam attack in Kashmir—where terrorists identified victims by religion before killing them in front of their families—and a bomb explosion in central New Delhi.
He stressed that India and Israel confront the same threat: terrorism. Goyal said both nations must collaborate to defeat it. Despite the geographical distance, he noted that the people of India and Israel remain emotionally close because of their shared suffering and common quest for peace and security.
