Sergio Gor, the recently appointed US ambassador to India, took over in New Delhi and affirmed that the US and India "continue to actively engage" on trade-related matters. In the midst of increasing tariff tensions, he stated that the next round of trade discussions is scheduled for January 13, 2026.
