Earthquake of Magnitude 7 Strikes Vanuatu Islands: GFZ

A magnitude ​7 earthquake struck the ‌Vanuatu Islands on Monday, ​the ​German Research Centre ⁠for ​Geosciences (GFZ)said.

The U.S. ​Tsunami Warning Centre said there ​was ​no tsunami threat ‌from ⁠the earthquake.

The quake was at ​a ​depth ⁠of 130 ​km (80 miles), ​GFZ ⁠said.
